The partnership was officially announced at the ISE in Amsterdam on February 11th, by Tomasz Bochenek, CEO of Orbitvu and Yasuo Bab, Director of Europe Digital Imaging at Sony. A demonstration showed attendees what the full camera possibility would look like for automated product photography using the Sony A7 IV R and ORBITVU’s ALPHAMICRO – a system designed specifically for taking product images of jewelry and watches. Excited attendees challenged the partnership to shoot a wider range of products of different sizes and from different industries and were left amazed!
Initially, the Camera Remote SDK will support the Alpha 7R IV and Alpha 9 II bodies, with plans to gradually expand the lineup of supported cameras thereafter.
